Week #47: Soundtrack’s Royal Court

Many have given the “King of the Soundtracks” title to Kenny Loggins and I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve it; but, I propose that there shouldn’t have really been a king, but instead a royal court. Yes, “Footloose” got our toes tapping or doing that toes together/heels together move to slide to the side on the dance floor; “I’m Alright” had us doing a little gopher shimmy and smiling to ourselves over Bill Murray’s antics; and, “Danger Zone” coaxed us to defy the speed limit (or at least max it out) and got us…

Week #48: A Bigger Boat

#50Weeksto50…it begins!

Why this site, why this post? Well, exactly 50 weeks from today I will be turning 50. Incredibly hard to believe that is true. There is no convincing yourself otherwise…50 is complete adulthood – no childish antics allowed. Ridiculous. That isn’t me. Adulthood reminds me of of all the things I always watched my dad do and he certainly can’t be a day over 45, right? I still have a copy of Tiger Beat tucked away in a drawer (okay, I’m holding on to it because I think it…
